S A U N A   E S S E N T I A L S

These essentials will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable sauna experience.  We supply standard bath towels, small towels (to sit on and wipe off) and a large water bottle for creating steam in the sauna.

A Few Essentials to Bring:
• Bathrobe | for staying warm as you walk to and from the sauna.
• Sandals | an easy on/off shoe to wear as you walk to and from the sauna.
• Water Bottle | to drink plenty of water while you are in the sauna. (glass or insulated are best)
• Large Towels | if you don't have a bathrobe or just want a comfy towel for after using the sauna.

G E N E R A L   R U L E S

Max Capacity:  Do not exceed 6 people inside the sauna at any time.
Age Restrictions:  Adult supervision required, children under 5 should not use the sauna. 
Health Risks:  Consult physician about medical issues, if pregnant or taking medication.
Prohibited Items:  No food, drinks - water only - or electronic devices in the sauna. 
Hygiene:  Shower and clean thoroughly before entering sauna. Use a towel to sit on.
Clothing:  Wear swimwear or go nude. Avoid wearing jewelry or metallic objects.
Shoes:  No shoes, sandals or footwear is allowed on the deck or inside the sauna.
Behavior:  Maintain a respectful and quiet behavior inside and around the sauna.
Smoking:  No smoking or vaping inside or around the sauna.
Drugs/Alcohol:  Avoid before use, may cause severe dehydration and serious injury.

P R E - S A U N A
Preparation:  Ensure you are hydrated by drinking water before entering the sauna.
Gate Code:  Text for sauna gate code and general instructions.
Gate Lock:  Remove lock and let hang from the cable to avoid locking yourself inside.
Towel Use:  Bring at least two towels - one to sit on and one to dry off with.
Preheat:  Turn the right dial to ON (hear a click), 30-45 min. before use.
Temperature:  Turn the left dial to set a desired temperature betwen 140º-195ºF. 
Water:  For steam, bring water from the house, pour into the wood bucket in the sauna.

D U R I N G - S A U N A
Entry/Exit:  Enter and exit the sauna quickly to minimize any heat loss.
Session Duration:  Return the dial to ON. Rotate the sand timer, limit sessions to 15 min. 
Comfort:  Monitor you body and exit if you feel uncomfortable or dizzy.
Hydration:  Drink water frequently to stay hydrated.
Fan:  Turn the timer dial on the fan switch, this will circulate air inside the sauna.
Light:  Turn the timer dial on the light switch, for light inside the sauna.
Temperature:  Check thermometer regularly to ensure it remains in a safe range.
Dry/Wet:  For steam use the ladle and slowly pour water over the stones.
Safety:  Do not touch or place anything on the heater or stones.

P O S T - S A U N A
Cool Down:  Gradually cool down after exiting, sit in a cool space or take a cool shower.
Rehydrate:  Drink plenty of water to replenish fluids lost through sweating.
Rest:  Allow yourself time to rest and recover after your sauna session.
Cleaning:  Wipe down surfaces you used and ensure the sauna is tidy for the next use.
Exit:  Turn the dial to OFF, empty the bucket outside, close sauna door and lock gate.
